Stuart Waack, P.G.A - Head Golf Professional
Stuart has been Silvermine’s Head Golf Professional since 1998. He is a strong player, accomplished teacher and a consummate promoter of the game of golf. Stuart creates a welcoming atmosphere for family and friends to enjoy the game of golf. Recently this passion was recognized by the Metropolitan PGA when he received the MET PGA Junior Golf Leader Award. His well-defined curriculum for juniors of instruction, etiquette, and rules give his young students a firm footing in how to play and enjoy golf. Stuart personally instructs the youngest juniors in all of his clinics because he enjoys the honor and responsibility of introducing young golfers to the game. His commitment to making golf a family experience is further displayed by his creation of Junior Fun Day, Junior Guest Day as well as a Grandparent/Parent Child tournament.
Stuart is a sought after golf instructor and club fitter. He prides himself in keeping up with the latest developments in golf equipment and also continually looks for better ways to communicate and teach his students with the use of digital video and computer technology.
Stuart served as first assistant at Woodway Country Club, Darien, Connecticut from 1990 to 1998 and the Blue Hill Golf Course, Pearl River, New York from 1987 to 1990. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island, and played on the college’s golf team.
Matt Noel, P.G.A. – Silvermine Assistant -Level 2 TPI Certified Golf Fitness Instructor
Matt is an Assistant Professional in the PGA’s Metropolitan Section at Silvermine Golf Club in Norwalk, CT. He has worked for the Kiawah Island Golf Resort (Turtle Point Golf Club and The Tommy Cuthbert Golf Learning Center) and several private golf clubs in the New England Section. Matt has completed Level 1 of The Golfing Machine’s Authorized Instructor Certification program and is a Level 2 Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness Instructor. Matt’s experiences include working with renowned instructor David Orr, which included extensive putting research during his four years at Campbell University. Matt was the recipient of the 2011 Gil McNally Most Improved Player Award out of all the Assistants in the MET Section. He lowered his scoring average by 4.11 shots in one year!

Tony Frabizzio, P.G.A - Silvermine 1st Assistant
Tony grew up in Fairfield, CT. He played on the Fairfield Prep and the Fairfield University golf teams. At age 19 he began working as an apprentice professional at The Golf Club of Purchase and at the age of 24 earned his Class A PGA certification. During this time, Tony established himself as an elite player and instructor in the Metropolitan Section. Tony has also become certified in club fitting and repair along with the latest in fitting technology.
Tony has traveled the globe to play competively on the Asian Tour and Sunshine Tour in South Africa, along with playing numerous mini-tours and traveling in the states. Tony enjoys being back in the Metroloitan PGA section and here at Silvermine working on his game and doing what he enjoys, teaching.
Tony spends his off-season in Costa Rica where he splits time between the golf course and a surfboard. He will also be implementing a golf teaching academy in Costa Rica where he will focus on introducing the sport to local children and families.
