Ordering Information

 

Since many of our recipes are from scratch it is best to give us 48 hours notice for all catering. Surely there will be times that last minute needs arise. We will always do everything we can to accommodate last minute requests. Larger orders must be finalized 7 days prior to the event date. When requesting an event quote from us, be sure to use the Catering questionnaire to help you prepare for your event. Silvermine Catering offers outstanding food and service in a variety of different ways to fit your needs.

 
Family Style Take-Out

You can pick up your catering order as a way of saving on delivery and pick-up costs. At the time of ordering just let us know that you will be picking up your order along with the pick up time. We provide disposable serving utensils the flatware, plates, cups, and napkins. Disposable Chafers and fuels are not included.

  

Corporate Drop-Off Catering

Corporate Drop-Off Service includes delivery of your food in disposable pans and platters. This service does not include clean up of your buffet. Delivery charges are based on the location of the event. Food is ready to eat within 15 minutes of delivery.

We provide disposable serving utensils the flatware, plates, cups, and napkins. Disposable Chafers and fuels are not included.

 

Full Service

Silvermine Full Service Catering includes delivery, set-up and break down of your event. We provide Continental Chafers, serving utensils, disposable flatware, plates, cups, and napkins. We can also provide linens, silverware, service personnel, and flowers to help provide for a perfect event from start to finish. A 20% service charge is applied to cover set up and breakdown of events that do not include staffing. For plated luncheons, or dinners add $3 per person in addition to the cost of Service Staff.

 Menu Pricing

Published menu prices do not include sales tax, delivery/pick-up charges, tableware, equipment rentals, linens, serving personnel, or service charges. Buffets include disposable plates, flatware, and paper napkins. Menu Items and all prices are subject to change without notice.

Charges are based on a minimum 4 hour event

Event Captain................................................ $200 (required if more than 3 event staff on duty)

Service Charge

Service Charge is included on Full Service catering with event staff. Service Charge is not included in Corporate Drop-Off or Family Style Take out.

 

Order Confirmation

We consider the order “confirmed” once we have received a signed contract and the deposit in cash or a check, if it is required for that event. If the balance is paid with a credit card, a credit card authorization form must be signed.

 Determining Quantities for your Event

We base our recipes on an average of ¼ lb per person for Side Items or Snacks and Appetizers, and 1/3 lb per person for Entrees. The more items you decide on, the less of each item you may need to order. We will be glad to help you determine the appropriate amount for your event.

 Equipment Rental

Any equipment rentals (Utensils, Chafers, tables etc…) will require a deposit and must be returned no later than the day after the scheduled event.  (Equipment must be free of all food debris and returned in the same condition in which it was received. A cleaning fee will be applied to any item returned in dirty condition)

 Delivery Information

Delivery charges will be determined by the location of the event. We deliver within Norwalk city limits, $50, or 20% of the order whichever is greater. Please call for delivery charges outside of Norwalk.
